Snoopy’s Costume Party

Weekends in October

Knott’s Scary Farm’s Halloween Haunt is preparing for its 40th anniversary in 2012. The event which started with a few Halloween decorations and costumed employees has grown to be the world’s largest Halloween celebration in the world.

Starting September 21 and running for 25 horrifying nights the typically family friendly theme park transforms itself for its willing victims into 160-acres of sheer terror.

Knott’s Halloween Haunt continues to be the leader in theme park Halloween events offering a whopping 12 mazes, six hair-raising shows, four horrific scare zones and 1,000 monsters roaming throughout the entire park.

For those looking for a friendlier Halloween celebration “Snoopy’s Costume Party” is the ticket. This daytime, non-scare celebration, of cheer rather than fear, is the social event of the season with shows, activities and of course, trick-or-treating all geared for kids ages 3-11. Kids can take part in the “Monster Dance Party and Costume Parade” and show off their costume as they join the affable group of monsters, and the PEANUTS characters, in a spirited procession through Camp Spooky.

In the Camp Spooky Theatre the PEANUTS Halloween “Spooktacular” will have you singing and dancing in the aisles to all your favorite Halloween tunes. And for those a little more adventurous, a walk through the “Haunted Harvest Maze” will take you through a cornfield of mischievous scarecrows and “The Great Pumpkin Hay Bale Maze” will have you joining Linus as he awaits the arrival of the Great Pumpkin.

Kids won’t want to leave before making a stop at the “Camp Spooky Craft Depot” where they can make some Halloween creations of their very own, and the “Creepy Crawly Critter Cave” where Knott’s park naturalist will amaze them with her slithery, slimy, creepy, crawly critters.
